Impact focus: Responsible product sampling
Earthly changemaker since 2025
Biggest win: 8,150 mangroves planted in April 2025 alone
Traditional sampling can be wasteful, with products reaching uninterested consumers and creating unnecessary shipping emissions. Sampl Tech wanted to address the unavoidable carbon footprint of physical distribution while making sure their sampling model remained responsible, targeted, and aligned with their wider sustainability ambitions.
Sampl Tech integrated Earthly’s nature-based solutions directly into their business model. For every 100 samples shipped, they plant one tree, alongside one tonne of carbon credits per 10,000 samples, helping them overcompensate for distribution impact across every campaign.
Through Earthly, Sampl Tech supports projects protecting over 160,000 hectares of forest, while giving clients clear data on trees planted and carbon credits through PCA reports. In April 2025 alone, they funded 8,150 mangroves and removed 81 tonnes of CO₂.

Through this initiative, Sampl Tech is helping to restore over 150,000 hectares of farmland in Kenya’s Upper Tana watershed. The project has planted over 3 million trees, improved water quality for 9 million people, and supports vital hydropower infrastructure. It also helps over 165,000 farmers boost incomes and improve livelihoods, especially among women-led households.
Discover projectSampl Tech is supporting dryland restoration in Ethiopia’s Tembien Highlands. The project's indigenous tree planting and grazing exclusion initiatives have improved ecosystem health and sequestered over 100,000 tonnes of CO₂. It also boosts and supports biodiversity while directing 60% of carbon revenue to local communities to improve their livelihoods.

Through this initiative, Sampl Tech have helped to plant magnificent mangroves in Maroalika, Madagascar. Mangroves store even more carbon than traditional forests and provide multiple benefits to coastal communities like storm protection and water filtration. Each tree removes around 308kg of carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere throughout its life cycle.
